Trails End

Here it is, Trails End, our new home. I know that it needs a lot of work, but that's because it has been abandoned for awhile. But in its prime, it was the estate of the owner of Teco pottery, which is why the inside looks so artsy. This was the first time that I visited, and I was surprised by what I saw. It really sparked my creativity. After wandering through a minimal part of the 13 acres of forest, I started to picture how neat it would be to have a party out there. Even though it slightly reminds me of the Blair Witch Project, I think that with enough work it could be something amazing. I'm picturing the old barn with twinkling lights, multiple colored vintage chairs and couches, and pretty things hanging from the ceiling. The perfect place for relaxing or maybe even a lovely blogger meetup? Okay maybe I'm getting a little ahead of myself, the place is still in shambles, but a girl can dream, can't she?
Until next time, Mandy

  1. Those stairs are so beautiful! I seriously love it. I bet it would be super hard to match the tile unless you tear it out and start over. I love those arches, oh man, so many beautiful and unique possibilities. Any house needs work to make it perfect :)

  11. Oh my gosh.... That is the most beautiful place. You need to keep everything just like that. Goodness I wish my house looked like that. I love your party idea! String sparkly lights to the trees and have it start a little before sunset so you can see all the beautiful colors in the sky and then turn all the lights on and it becomes a lovely little wonderland of your own. So jealous.
