Graduation Day!

I did it! I made it through four years of high school. You know how people say that high school was the best time of their lives? I do not share that same opinion. Ever since freshman orientation, I've been waiting for the day that I could leave. As many of you know by now, I am not your typical teenager. I did not spend my nights partying or trying to fit in with everyone else. Although this made my classmates view me as the quiet, strange girl that studies too much, I did not care. I don't want to be like everyone else. I never have wanted to. From now on, I won't have to be judged by the same people I went to grade school with, or the most popular girls in the class. I won't have to deal with the high school drama, even though at times it made me laugh to realize how petty and ridiculous some people are. I can be me. In three months, I will be moving to Boston and starting my new life. What is more exciting than that?

There are two more things I want to mention.I cannot tell you how thrilled I am to not have to wear a uniform anymore.Thirteen years of looking like everybody else is finally coming to an end. I really need to spice up my wardrobe. Also, I know that I have been slacking on my blog a bit lately with everything that has been going on. However, now that I am free for the summer, I will be able to post more regularly and respond to all of my readers. I apologize if I have not gotten back to you or spent time on your blog. That will all be changing in the next new weeks. I cannot wait to explore all of your blogs and meet a bunch of new people! If any of you know of any blogging projects or are hosting one yourself, please let me know because I would love to be a part of it. Thank you so much for taking the time to read my blog.
Until next time, Mandy

  1. Congratulations! Those photos are very sweet. I hope you'll start better life soon! I'm still in this horrible situation in my school - you know, my friends love only partying. I like it too, but I think I prefer music, culture, books. They think only about alcohol, weed etc.

  3. You sound very happy and excited :) I loved leaving high school too, although I made the stupid decision to back to sixth form. Good luck with the move to Boston, my great uncle lives there and I'm going to visit him in twoish years!
Have a lovely summer :) xx

  4. New reader :) Congratulations on graduating! As someone who graduate only a couple of years ago {ahem, 17!!}, I can assure you that high school is only a small bump in the overall road of life. Hope you enjoy your summer! :)

  5. Hey! Lucky! I graduate in a week! June 1st! I am so excited!
I don't know many people my age on here! I cannot wait for the next phase of my life.
I know what you mean about high school not being the best years of life. There was so much judgement from EVERYONE about EVERYTHING. Peers, teachers, friends, family. I'm glad I have the freedom to make my own decisions.
Boston?! That's my favorite place on earth right now. I hope you enjoy it there! :) That's actually where I plan on moving someday, but for now I have to stay put in Wisconsin and save up some money!
This was a long comment. Sorry, dear! Just excited to find another person my age! Looked like a beautiful day. And you had a beautiful graduation dress!
    Good luck!

    1. Hi Kaili! I know exactly what you mean about the insane amount of judgement that happens in high school. I will not miss that at all. Have you been to Boston?? I visited once, then decided to go to school there. Kind of a hasty decision, but everyone I talk to says they love it there. If you have any favorite parts of the city I would love to hear about them! I'm glad that you found my blog. I always like finding other bloggers my age. Stay in touch!

  11. Congrats again!!! I know what you mean. I loathed high school and all the drama and politics between cheerleaders and football players, etc. I was so happy to be away from all those people and still only talk to one friend from high school each time I fly back to visit home. High schoolers can be so mean and I just look back on it with so many negative memories unfortunately.
Hey, you're going to school in Boston?! That's neat! I live 3.5 ish hours away from there! Maybe we could meet up sometime :)
