Green Volkswagen

Look how pretty! While driving out to Crystal Lake I saw this green van out of the corner of my eye. I had to see what it was like, so I pulled into someone's driveway to take pictures. Don't worry, it was for sale, I don't normally take pictures with other peoples cars. The green automatically caught my attention and the bus reminded me of Little Miss Sunshine. Even though I love the look, the inside was gutted and full of tools. There weren't even seats anymore. I left disappointed but at least I got some pictures.

Owl and Me

Do you remember Trails End, the estate I posted about awhile ago? Today, I visited a museum of Terracotta pieces that used to be on the property. I found the history of the home, owner, and the Terracotta company to be fascinating. I think that the pieces would look much better at the house, but it was neat to see them in a museum. How awesome would it be if that huge owl was sitting in the yard?

My Kelly Moore Bag

jacket/gloves: urban outfitters. hat/scarf: forever 21. jeans: nordstrom. boots: target. bag: kelly moore.
From tank tops to hats and scarves, the weather in Chicago is officially insane. I spent the day taking pictures and drinking a white chocolate mocha. These shots are from a local college near my house. I have always admired the beauty of the buildings, but have never actually stopped by the campus. I love my new Kelly Moore bag that I won from the A Beautiful Mess giveaway. It's really a camera bag for men but it was my favorite. With pockets for cameras, memory cards, and a laptop, this bag is pretty much big enough for anything. The perfect bag for college.

Peacocks and Goats

Along with great photo spots, the antique shop had peacocks and goats! I have always been an animal person, so seeing these guys made me extremely excited. The goats were so cute and the peacock opened its feathers right when I looked at it. Next time I travel out to the country, I need to search the whole store because I'm sure there are many more exciting and interesting things to find.

Old Barn and Lace

top: nordstrom. skirt: pacsun. shoes: urban outfitters. bag: vintage.
Yesterday was absolutely beautiful, so I decided to wear my new lace skirt. I found it at PacSun when Wil was looking for some shirts. The clothes there don't usually fit my style, but I found this skirt on sale and I couldn't help but buy it. I paired it with my orange boots because I don't seem to wear them enough. My day of vintage shopping led me to an old barn/antique shop with the best places for photos. I'm thinking that I may travel out there again for prom pictures. Even though it's somewhat of a long drive, I think that it would be worth it because the barn is so perfect.

Tapas For Two

Here are some anniversary pictures. After a stressful day of school, Wil and I had the most delicious tapas dinner at one of our favorite restaurants, Meson Sabika. We usually go there on special occasions because it's quite fancy and somewhat expensive because we can't resist ordering everything that sounds good. Whenever we eat there, everyone stares at us strangely because we are the youngest ones, but we don't care because it has the best food. We enjoyed some nonalcoholic sangria, vegetable paella, goat cheese with tomato sauce, and many other tapas dishes. As for today, it seems like I am going to stay home and make college pros and cons lists.

Yellow Collar

dress: vintage. camera bag: vintage. shoes: vintage.
After a long day of anxiety, my George Washington University acceptance letter arrived with some very good news. I was accepted! Also, Northeastern accepted me, which came as a total surprise. I could be living in DC or Boston in just a few short months. However, this fantastic news is going to make high school seem even more terrible. I guess it's a good thing that my spring break started today. With two acceptances, a new dress, and the most amazing anniversary dinner, this day was just wonderful.
