If Only You Were Functional

Say hello to my beautiful 1950s movie camera. I believe that I've mentioned it before, but now here it is. I just so happened to stumble upon this lovely camera at a valentine antique show. The man selling it saw that I was taking pictures and pointed it out. Usually I wait for holidays and birthdays to add a new (to me) camera to my collection because they are somewhat expensive. So when I saw that this movie camera was only $20 I got so excited. As I paid the guy, he put the camera into its original camera case. I was so surprised at what a good deal this was. I now use the vintage leather camera case as a purse. It fits everything perfectly and it is quite cute. Maybe I will start showing more of my vintage camera collection. What do you think?

This Is What Friends Do

I'm not sure that having my brother take pictures of us was the greatest idea. Most of the photos were out of focus, but that's not the worst part. He likes to just keep clicking the button, which means a lot of strange and unflattering candids. I don't know what we were doing in some of the pictures. Here are a few of the more amusing moments that were captured.

Yes, I Wear Shorts In The Snow

Just a quick little post today. I took these photos in the prairie path across the street from my house. It looked so beautiful in the sunset. I rarely go into the prairie path, but I think I will more often. Even though it was really pretty, it was freezing. Once again, I am not weather appropriately dressed. I will probably never learn. Do you like my new camera necklace? My grandma just gave it to me the other day when she picked me up from school. I think it's super cute. Don't forget to enter my giveaway.

Chicago Tourist

Here are a few more photos of my tourist day in the city. The first time Wil and I hung out, we took the train down to the bean. It's hard to believe that was two years ago already. In order to take a picture of yourself in the bean, you have to push through groups and groups of tourists. I think that photos of the buildings look much better, because up close it is actually really dirty. I do not know what people do to it, but I guess thousands of people touching it will make it kind of gross. Now I am off to write my english paper. That's my idea of Friday night fun.

I Feel Like Madeline

Dress/Jacket: Vintage. Shoes/Tights: Target

I know that this isn't exactly what Madeline's outfit looked like, but the blue and white made me feel like the little french girl. I spent my lovely afternoon at the art institute. I love this last painting. I think that it is just so elegant. The impressionism and photography exhibits were my favorite, but unfortunately there was no photography allowed in the photography exhibit. I will say that some of the art was not my style. How stuffed animal snakes made it in the art institute, I will never know. My touristy day in the city was so much fun, since I rarely ever do any of these activities. I usually stick to the little neighborhoods, but playing a tourist for the day was a wonderful idea.

Grandpa Sweater Vest

I bought this sweater vest at Vintage Underground a few weeks ago and this was my first time wearing it. I think that it looks like something out of a stylish grandpa's closet, but that is fine with me because I tend to buy men sweaters. I paired it with my brown skirt and my green dress from a couple of outfit posts ago. This time I wore it as a shirt and it turned out pretty well.
