Flower Children

dress: vintage. shoes: bazar. sunnies: anthropologie.
First of all, I just want to say how much I love this dress. I found it a few months ago at one of my favorite vintage shops, and just had to have it. I'm not sure if it's partially handmade, but the quilt look is really neat. My mother used to always tell me not to wear yellow because it clashed with my skin tone, but she actually loves this dress, which is surprising. Either way, it is one of my new favorites.

At times, blogging can be a little overwhelming. Posting on a daily basis, uploading photos for hours (yeah, my computer is really slow), responding to readers, and staying up to date on other blogs is extremely time consuming, and sometimes I cannot get myself to open my computer. Instead of thinking of the negative aspects of blogging, I should be realizing what an amazing creative outlet blogging creates. So maybe I spend a few hours a day struggling with computer problems, that's perfectly fine with me because I get the chance to meet (well at least over the computer) so many amazing people. I received one of the sweetest emails the other day from one of my readers, and it made me realize the reason I began blogging. Sure, I blog to put my voice into the world and express myself, but also, I blog in hopes to impact my readers.
Until next time, Mandy

  5. I LOVE the dress! So beautiful.

I've been told the same thing about yellow with my skin tone, but it is mostly for the neons. Mustard yellow will only do your skin good things:)

  7. Geez Louise, I LOVE this dress!!! If you are ever sick of it, feel free to send it my way ;) haha That's super interesting about your mom saying that about wearing yellow. I had always told myself not to wear yellow for the exact same reason and only in the last two or so years I've dumped that theory and worn it anyway. I love it now! And I think it looks great on you, as seen here in these absolutely lovely photos. Oh, and your hair pieces are just divine! I must get/make me one!
Also, I get the same way with blogging. I didn't even open my laptop for almost two weeks recently because I just felt so overwhelmed and uninterested in my own self in the blog world. I had to take a break. But I got emails from my super sweet and thoughtful blog friends reminding me that I don't need to create super inspirational posts to be missed. I love blogging, I knew I wanted to be a part of all these supportive people and make some friends. Perhaps post some fun clothes pictures, and maybe say some inspiring things every once and a while, too ;)

  10. You and your friend look adorable! I love the little flower headbands and both of your dresses are beautiful! And blogging is so so hard sometimes. I almost quit doing it a month ago! It helped me to take some pressure off of myself. However I'm still struggling with making time to connect with my readers and new blogs...still haven't figured out how to do that gracefully yet!

    You're wonderful Mandy!
