Here Are My Eleven Things

I guess it is my time to post eleven things. Emily tagged me the other day, so here it goes.

Post these rules
- Post a photo and eleven random things about yourself
- Answer the questions provided by the one who tagged you
- Create eleven new questions for the people you tag
- Contact those you choose and let them know they've been tagged

1. Every day I check my mailbox for college acceptances even though I know they aren't coming until April 1st.
2. I really don't like teenagers. I know I am one, but I don't like to be associated with most of them. From my experiences, most teens today are gross, rude, inappropriate, and obnoxious.
3. I can honestly say that I am watching the musical episode of Buff the Vampire Slayer as I am writing this.
4. I suffer from migraines. I still haven't figured out how to stop them. A day doesn't go by that I don't have a headache.
5. I start sewing lessons this month. I can't wait to repair and restyle some of my vintage dresses.
6. I am thoroughly convinced that Zooey Deschanel and Joseph Gordon Levitt belong together. I cannot think of a cuter couple.
7. 5' 9" is not that tall now that I'm 18, but it was in fifth grade. I was always the tallest in grade school. For some reason, being tall meant being made fun of. For years I was called the beast. My height didn't bother me, but yet I still felt bad about myself. Don't you love bullies?
8. I am terrified that I won't be able to find a college roommate who I like or who likes me. I am a quiet person and it takes me awhile to get to know someone.
9. In fourth grade I fell off my bike in front of a jesus statue and broke my arm.
10. I find blogging to be so inspirational. I love peering into the lives of other creative girls from around the world. I just want to be best friends with all of them. I can't wait to go to a blogger meet up or conference so I can meet some lovely bloggers.
11. Even though I am determined to live on the east coast, I can't wait to visit portland and seattle.

1. Do you have kids? If yes, how do you feel about motherhood? If no, do you want to? I do not have kids. I am still in high school, so kids aren't in my future anytime soon. You know, I've never been a "kid" person. I never had the urge to babysit, even when my friends were spending their nights hanging out with other people's children. I never felt the need to hold a baby if I saw one. I cringe at the sound of screaming children in public. Here's the thing, kids don't like me. I was walking around Costco the other day and a little boy came up to me and slapped me. I don't know what it is, but children and I just don't get along. However, whenever I see cute kid clothes, I always picture myself having the cutest little baby. I guess we will just have to see what happens.
2. If you could move anywhere, where would you move? England. I have never been there, but my answer to this question has always been England. Freshman year I wrote a paper trying to convince my mom to send me to boarding school in England. It didn't work.
3. Do you play an instrument? No :( Years ago I attempted to play the piano and guitar. It didn't turn out so well. Since then I have tried to teach myself a few ukulele songs, but people tell me to stay away from anything musical.
4. What's your favorite t.v. show? Hmm..this is a hard one. I don't care if you think I am strange, but I am a Gilmore Girls lover.
5. What's your favorite band/artist? I never have a specific answer for this question. Right now I am really liking the honey trees, slow club, givers, leftover cuties, she and him, holcombe waller, and two door cinema club.
6. Do you have any piercings/tattoos? I only have my ears pierced. As a kid I was deathly afraid of piercings. I would always yell at my mom whenever she asked me if I wanted to get my ears pierced. I finally gave in, but the woman who pierced them had a lazy eye and ended up piercing at a downward angle. So when I finally got to put in the earrings myself, I had to poke another hole in my ear. As for tattoos, I have always wanted one, but I haven't found the right inspiration yet.
7. What's your favorite season? Autumn. Always has been. Always will be.
8. If you could go back and do something again, what would it be? Go back to Austria. In 8th grade I traveled to Vienna to play volleyball in the world games. I met hundreds of people from around the world. I only wish I was less shy and took advantage of all the diversity. It would be great to have some long distance friends.
9. What's one of the first things on your bucket list? Meet Bill Cunningham. I just think that he is the most interesting man in the world. I would be happy just to see him. I need to hang out on the streets on New York more often.
10. Do you prefer sour or sweet? Definitely sweet. I have a mini blueberry pie waiting for me.
11. What's your favorite non-alcoholic drink of choice? It's a tie between an iced white chocolate mocha and apple cider. It depends what month it is.

1. Do you like old movies? If so, what one is your favorite?
2. What era's style do you like the most?
3. Where did you go to college or where do you want to go?
4. What is your favorite store?
5. Why did you start blogging?
6. What are your favorite names, either for babies or what you wish your name was?
7. How would you describe your style and who is your style icon?
8. What hair color do you wish you could have?
9. Do you like vintage? If so, what is your favorite find?
10. What are your favorite blogs?
11. Do you have a favorite song?

  1. Hi Mandy,

I love your blog and your incredibly great photos! I am a friend of your mom's (I had lunch with her yesterday and then found your blog when I googled "Trails End") and a former photo teacher. I am saddened to hear that you have a headache every day. I went thru the same thing for decades and finally got relief when I found out that I had food allergies. If you want more info on how I conquered my headaches, let's chat.

  2. The Toyota Previa's spaceship-like interior is roomy and comfortable. Fit and finish is very good. Driver's place is comfortable; great visibility. The third-row bench seat splits in half and folds up easily against the sidewalls making a lot of space for cargo.

  3. When we sell a Previa we get calls years later from customers who say they put 30,000-50,000 miles on the vehicle and its been great.I never ever got those calls selling any other vehicle.
